Nick has two words for people who call him a “freak.”

Dan Miller is one of the most recognized artists of Oakland’s Creative Growth Art Center, the world’s first non-profit art center dedicated to serving adults with developmental disabilities. Using ink and paper, Miller interprets every day subjects into intense, multi-layered ink masses that reflect the artist’s obsession with light bulbs, food, electrical outlets and even people’s names. Miller’s work is in MOMA’s permanent collection.
